Adoption Program

In God’s Word we see that His perfect design is for each person to grow and mature in the bosom of a family. Some children come to us only temporarily and eventually are able to return to their natural families. But many come from situations where that is not an option due to the death of one or both parents, a physically or sexually abusive situation, or even extreme poverty. Sometimes a woman who is considering abortion, when given the option, can be convinced to allow her child to live and to be placed with an adoptive family. Many of the children who come to us are not, and will not become available for adoption. These children are either placed into Christian foster homes or they are placed with one of the family groups at Casa Bernabé I or II.

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling; God sets the desolate in a home.

APPLICATION FOR ADOPTION

Those interested in adopting a child through FUNPRONI must meet some special requirements; those of the Guatemalan government and also those of the FOUNDATION. Among the most important we cite the following:

A. Both husband and wife must be Christian

B. The husband and wife must have been married for a minimum of five years

C. Their ages must range between 25 and 45 years.

D. The husband and wife must come with a high recommendation from their spiritual leaders

E. The adoptive parents must pay the full expense of the adoption process

Couples from other countries than Guatemala must also fulfill the Guatemalan requirements and also the requirements of their country of origin.
